Tallest Waterslide

The waterslide is at Mt. Olympus Water & Theme Park in Wisconsin.

Imagine that you are about to get on the tallest waterslide in the country. It is 145 feet tall!

You have to climb many, many steps to get to the top. At last, you get there. Whew! What a climb!

Going Down

You step onto the slide. A dark tunnel stretches ahead. It twists in a spiral

You sit down. You feel cool water on your feet. Then, zoom! You’re speeding down the slide!

Time to Splash

Gravity pulls you down. Gravity is the force that pulls things to the ground. You slide down at 30 miles per hour (mph). A car can go that fast.

Now the slide becomes flat. You slow down. The ride is over!

Tallest Roller Coaster

The roller coaster is at the Cedar Point amusement park in Ohio.

Now you are at a different theme park. It has the tallest and fastest roller coaster in the country!

You don’t need to climb any steps to get on this ride. You start at the bottom.

You sit in your seat. You lower the safety bar. Hold on!

Going Up

You’re off! First you go forward and start to go up a tower. Then you speed backward at 100 mph. You go to the top of another tower.

Then the ride shoots forward again at 120 mph. That’s faster than some trains! You race up a tower. At the top, you are 420 feet above the ground. Now comes the last drop! Ahhh!

Time to Spin

Gravity takes over. It sends you plunging down the tower. The tracks spin in a spiral.

Now you’re back at the start. You made it!
