Sweethearts have been around for more than 100 years. Many people love these little hearts. In fact, the Sweethearts factory makes 780 million of them every year. Why are they so popular? Maybe it’s because of their sweet messages.
Each year, you can find 40 different messages on Sweethearts. Some popular messages are “Love you,” “Cutie pie,” and “Marry me.”
The messages have changed over time. Long ago, a message was “Far out.” That means “cool.” It’s not on Sweethearts anymore!
