Last spring, Alicia, age 9, got a new puppy. She was so excited. She named the puppy Ollie. She and her dad took Ollie on his first walk.

Ollie found coins that were worth $8,000!

On the walk, Ollie started sniffing. He tugged on his leash. Then he started to dig. There was something shiny in the dirt. It was gold coins! Ollie had found buried treasure!

The Best Treasure of All

An expert looked at the coins. They were more than 100 years old. They were worth about $8,000.

Alicia hugged her puppy. To her, he was the best treasure of all.
